Ukraine plans to ban plastic bags from January 2022

2020-10-20

The Ukrainian Supreme Council announced that it will ban shops from using plastic bags from January 2022.

Act No. 2051-1 was initiated by eight representatives of the Servant of the People. Members of Congress proposed to completely ban the use of plastic bags with a thickness of less than 50 microns in all trading companies (they believe that denser plastic bags can be reused).

The state will advocate free use of biodegradable plastic bags with correct labels and certain types of plastic bags for the transportation of fresh meat and fish. This biodegradability should meet the national standards that came into effect in early 2019.

It's worth noting that retailers are now selling bags in the name of being environmentally friendly, which is actually not environmentally friendly. The store actually misled consumers, which even indirectly prompted them to buy bags.

Paper bag, non woven bag, cloth bag and biodegradable bag are green packaging when plastic bags are banned. Welcome to choose more packaging products from Shenglin Packaging.
