Thailand to ban three kinds of plastic by end of this year

The ministry of environmental protection recently launched a campaign to reduce the use of plastic bags. The campaign was first held in battambang province and then continued in siem reap and sihanouk provinces. According to state secretary of the ministry of environmental protection (mep), plastic bags are widely used as packaging items and are also considered to have a serious impact on the environment. The government has issued a new law to control the use of plastic bags and impose extra fees on consumers to limit white pollution through price leverage. This is also a common practice in developed countries, where plastic bags are charged separately and reusable shopping bags are provided.

Environmentally friendly, biodegradable tableware products are not new and have been on the market for more than a decade.
